Der Kriegspielers Napoleoniques - Napoleonic range

Bearing an uncanny resemblance to Hinton Hunt figures, Der Kriegspielers were produced in the States. The listings below are taken from the Walthers Inc Military Miniatures Catalog of 1975.

Der Kriegspielers produced a range of 12 Full Color Painting Guides and the pictures in the catalogue are taken from these. They "depict the uniforms of the Napoleonic period but do not represent the individual models or their poses".

The exception is on the last page reproduced below (I will add larger versions of the pictures of figures in the next post) which show actual figures of a British gun and crew, and of some Russian cavalry. Interesting to see them selling the two boxed sets, for Waterloo and Borodino. Now an unopened one of those would be a great garage find....

Clive,

Illustrations i have seen suggest that DK's AWI range ('Continentals') bore a remarkable resemblance to the Tradition 25mm AWI range - so it looks like DK were serial ofenders.

Don, that range isn't in the Walthers catalogue, but there is a 30mm Ancinets range - the Thermopolites - and I did wonder where they might have come from...There is another page with accessories and the picture of pontoon wagons are definitely the same as Hinton Hunt ones.

Clive, Unlike pages 1 through 5, I am unable to get the last two catalogue pages, 6 and 7, to enlarge when I click on them.

Hello:

I am looking for DR Napoleoniques dutch carabineers, Prussian line infantry standard bearer and French line chasseur a cheval with 1812 pattern uniform--I have only seen an example of this unit with 1809 pattern uniform.

Don, click on the 5th catalog page to enlarge it, then edit the "5" in the URL at the end with "6" and "7" to get enlarged versions of those 2 pages.

If you are willing to take a look and let me know what you think, I would appreciate it.
